If you enjoy Bigfoot tales, wild costumes, and the thrill of a rowdy calling contest, a Bigfoot festival is the place to be. Come for the seminars, food trucks, and vendors. Stay for the contests, tree knocking, and the chance to grab a photo with a roaming Sasquatch. Every event has its own personality (some are silly, some are serious), so pick one that fits your vibe and plan your own Bigfoot adventure.
I’ve personally been to the South Carolina Bigfoot Festival (where I placed first in the 2021 Bigfoot Calling Contest!) and the WNC Bigfoot Festival (didn’t place at all). They’re a lot of fun and worth experiencing at least once.
For this post, I gathered festivals happening across the Southeast. If you know of one I missed, please share it! All times EST unless otherwise noted.
